We were at the Sime Darby Medical Center ( ex-SJMC) to visit a 1 day old baby and her proud parents. The couple being experienced parents ( meaning, this is the third baby for the couple) , we were spared from being asked questions like : do you think the baby look like mama or the papa ? Don’t you think this is the cutest baby ever ? do you think I will be thin again?

After an hour in the company of the cutest baby ever and before we succumbed  to nappy rash, we left the parents to continue to  admire their bundle of joy while we proceed to  search for lunch, we were ( I mean I was) very hungry, so we decided not to venture too far but  to try our luck with a restaurant in that vicinity -Food Lodge Restaurant . The waitress was rather helpful with the selection of the dishes. We decided to go for assam fish, fried vege and claypot chicken.

Assam fish fillet (RM18) – fish fillet cooked with brinjal, ladies finger, tomato , tasty gravy, assam goodness, not overly sour , I could finished my plate of rice with this gravy. Good !

Fried yau mak (RM9) – yau mak stir fried with garlic, crunchy yau mak , a bit of oyster sauce. This was nice

Claypot chicken (RM15) – the chicken pieces were deep fried before stewing in the claypot, with plenty of vegetable- baby corns, snow peas, button mushroom. I find the  chicken to be a bit hard (due to the deep  frying) and the flavour of the gravy seemed a bit heavy after a few mouthful.

The dishes were simple and felt  just like a home cooked meal , overall I would rate this as an ok meal . The bill ( above dishes plus 4 drinks  ( fruit juices) and 4 rice – came to  RM67.15
