This is the only pix I have of the dinner we had at Marina in Davao, btw it was a good seafood meal.

Anyway, after a ~1.45hr flight from Davao, we were again back in Manila. While waiting for the driver to pick up  the cargo [our host had bought boxes of pamelos from Davao (these are about the size of your palm, not like the Malaysian version, and  very sweet and juicy)] we went for a  snack . We had already stepped into Shakeys  when Mr host asked me, is this ok ? and then, I made my request – ‘can we try Jolliebee ?’ – which was next door.

I hadn’t had a chance to try Jollibee, which  is the no 1 fast food chain in Phils , beating McD, KFC or Pizza. Jollibee is a phenomenal success story: what began as a two-branch ice cream parlor in 1975 offering hot meals and sandwiches became incorporated in 1978 with seven outlets to explore the possibilities of a hamburger concept. Thus was born the company that revolutionized fast food in the Philippines. To read  more, please click here

This is the mascot

 Jolly Crispy fries..

Amazing Aloha – double beef patty , strips of bacon, cheese, and a slice of pineapple , this is Mr Host’s favourite

I had  the Palabuk +Chicken set

What u get in that set  :-

Palabuk – the noodles is something like mee-sua, served with Palabok sauce with toppings of pork chicharon bits, tuna flakes , sauté pork, shrimps and slice of egg. The Palabuk sauce is like peanut sauce. Interesting,

Chicken – fried chicken, normal

Rice – this is the one wrapped in paper, comes with the sauce ( in container)- which taste like the gravy that you find on KFC mash potatoes.

Vege- biasa lah

Chocolate brownies—YUMMyy…very chocolaty and rich
